Dates
January 16-18, 2026
Eligibility
All Canadian secondary and post-secondary students, those taking a gap year, and recent graduates who graduated on or after January 16, 2025 are eligible.
Project and Submission Requirements
Projects must be completed during official hacking hours and given an open-source license. All source code must be on a public GitHub repository.
Required:
- GitHub repository with all source code
- Video demo (maximum 4 minutes)
- Detailed writeup
Optional:
- Link to deployed application
Prizes
Regular Tier
- 1st Place — $850
- 2nd Place — $500
- 3rd Place — $350
Beginner Tier
- 1st Place — $650
- 2nd Place — $400
- 3rd Place — $250
KPMG Custom Challenge
- 1st Place — $400

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Judging will occur science-fair style, where each team will be judged multiple times by rotating teams of judges.
